KARACHI – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted a fresh spell of rain to sweep across parts of the country within the next two days.

In Karachi, while the overall weather will remain hot and humid, light rain is expected in suburban areas during the evening, offering slight relief from the ongoing summer heat. Daytime temperatures in the city will likely hover between 35°C and 37°C, with nighttime lows around 27.5°C. Current humidity levels are reported at 49%.

Punjab is currently experiencing dry conditions, but the PMD says a new rain system is set to enter the region within 48 hours. Lahore and surrounding cities will continue to see dry weather for now, though dusty winds may cause a minor drop in temperature. Lahore’s temperature is expected to fluctuate between 24°C and 34°C.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), partly cloudy skies are forecast, with potential rainfall and thunderstorms in districts like Chitral, Dir, Swat, Buner, Malakand, Mansehra, and Battagram. Peshawar recorded 36°C on Tuesday, while Kalam was among the cooler areas at 24°C.

Meanwhile, hot and dry weather will persist across most of Balochistan. However, Khuzdar and Lasbela may receive rain accompanied by gusty winds. Temperatures soared to 43°C in Turbat and 41°C in Sibi, with other cities like Quetta, Kalat, and Ziarat reporting comparatively milder weather.
