Prime Minister Imran Khan says provision of basic facilities to the people of newly merged areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is top priority of the government.
He was talking to Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shah Farman and Chief Minister Mahmood Khan who called on him in Islamabad today (Saturday).
He said the government is also giving special focus on the provision of basic facilities to less developed areas of Balochistan.
The Prime Minister said that the government is striving to adopt austerity in the upcoming budget.
He said efforts are being taken to provide job opportunities to the youth so they can utilize their capabilities.
The Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa also briefed the Prime Minister about ongoing development projects in merged areas especially about progress in provision of Sehat Insaf Card.
The meeting reviewed developmental projects in newly merged areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and also discussed issues related to less developed areas.
Minister for Communitation Murad Saeed, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan, Special Assistant to PM on Political Affairs Naeem-ul-Haq were also present in the meeting.
