Babar Azam Joins Kakul Camp as Pakistan Players Intensify Fitness Regimen

The Pakistani cricket team’s fitness camp at the Army School of Physical Training (ASPT) is in full swing, with players undergoing rigorous training routines to prepare for upcoming series and the ICC T20 World Cup.

The camp, attended by 29 players, began on March 26 and will continue until April 8. The trainers have been gradually increasing the intensity of the workouts, with players recently completing an eight-kilometer run as part of their training regimen.

Despite observing Ramadan, the players have been participating in training sessions at 4 pm, followed by a more strenuous workout after Iftar.

Star batsman Babar Azam joined the camp and underwent a fitness evaluation upon arrival at the Kakul Academy. However, some players, including Imad Wasim, Fakhar Zaman, Sahibzada Farhan, and Haris Rauf, focused on lighter training and gym exercises due to injury concerns.

In between training sessions, players have been engaging in recreational activities, such as badminton, fostering a sense of camaraderie among the team.

The players currently in the camp include Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Saim Ayub, Fakhar Zaman, Sahibzada Farhan, and others, as they gear up for upcoming cricketing challenges.
