34th LADIESFUND Power Lunch, a series now well in its 9th year where women entrepreneurs and professionals network for business development.

Karachi: Chief Guest Mr. Cemal Sangu, Turkish Consul General to Karachi headlined the highly anticipated 34th LADIESFUND Power Lunch. This dynamic must-attend networking session featured 50 incredible women leaders – including Yasmeen Lari (Heritage Foundation), Masarrat Misbah (Depilex Smileagain Foundation), Niilofur Farrukh (CEO, Karachi Biennale), Nargis Rehman (Founder, Women’s Foundation Pakistan), Jamila Habib, Frieha Altaf (CEO, Catwalk), Nadene Hafeez Shaikh, Saira Awan (President, TCS), Ameena Saiyid (MD of Lightstone Publishers), Patrice Khan (Energy Therapist & HeartMath Coach), Moneeza Usman Butt (Partner, KPMG), Shehla Rashid Hashmi (Owner, Hashmi Group) and Khursheed Hyder (PR, HUM), et al., and some dynamic men including Amin Gulgee, Rashid Hashmi, Deepak Perwani, Faisal Kachelo, and Shahzad Sabir.

“We continue to transform the way power spaces and networking at the highest level take place as we’re placing women front row and center in these conversations, having voice and respect from the get-go, with select inclusion of male champions for gender inclusion, diversity and women empowerment. With this thirty-fourth lunch, we further grow this pool as agents of change and the sectors represented,” stated LADIESFUND President Tara Uzra Dawood.

“It was a privilege and honour to be the Chief Guest at the 34th LADIESFUND Power Lunch, a gathering of some of the most interesting and amazing women and a handful of dynamic men,” said HE Mr. Cemal Sangu, Turkish Consul General in Karachi.

“The Turkish Consulate and LADIESFUND have collaborated several times over the last 11 years including bringing top Turkish female speakers to deliver talks in Pakistan as well as sponsoring Pakistani girls to study in Turkiye. “I really enjoyed the LADIESFUND gathering of like-minded friends and interesting people, all discussing ways to contribute to a better Pakistan,” said Yasmeen Lari.

It was very kind of Uzra Dawood to honour me to be a LADIESFUND Woman of Inspiration,” said Nargis Rehman, Convener, Karachi Citizens’ Forum. “I’m very proud of Uzra Dawood for the positive impact she is making in empowering women and giving them a platform for expression and action…facilitating the needed Change for Women’s Empowerment. “The cross-section of interesting, trailblazing women across sectors makes the LADIESFUND power lunches one of the most dynamic and energizing gatherings in town,” said sculptor Amin Gulgee.

“I really enjoy meeting interesting accomplished career women and supportive men at the LADIESFUND power lunches,” said Niilofur Farrukh, CEO, Karachi Biennale. The carefully designed menu is a treat and speaks of Uzra ‘s attention to detail and commitment as the founder of this dynamic initiative.

“From the very first time I attended a LADIESFUND event 10 years ago, it has always been a delight to be there and it’s a very special networking platform,” said Masarrat Misbah, Founder, Depilex Group.
