The Women Entrepreneur Forum brought together business leaders, professionals and aspiring entrepreneurs in Karachi for its Founding Members Meetup and a ceremony marking Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day. The event highlighted the importance of strengthening women’s leadership, expanding business opportunities and building professional networks to accelerate economic and social development.

The gathering featured women from diverse sectors who discussed strategies to support women-led enterprises, encourage collaboration and create a stronger entrepreneurial ecosystem. Organizers said the forum aims to serve as a platform where members can exchange ideas, share experiences and develop initiatives that help women succeed in business.
More than 100 words into the event, Women Entrepreneurs remained at the heart of the discussion as Founder President Rubina Laeeq stressed that sustainable development cannot be achieved without empowering women. She said equal opportunities in business leadership and social development are essential for women to fully utilize their potential and contribute to Pakistan’s economy. According to her, professional training, mentorship, networking and greater access to business opportunities are critical for creating lasting economic growth.
Rubina Laeeq said the forum will connect women leaders, entrepreneurs and professionals, encouraging cooperation while inspiring a new generation of women to pursue leadership and business careers. She added that the organization plans to introduce workshops, networking events and professional development programs to strengthen leadership skills and business capacity.
Founder Senior Vice President Safia Bano said the forum was established to empower women by creating stronger business networks and connecting them with new commercial opportunities. She noted that supporting women-led enterprises would contribute to sustainable economic development and help entrepreneurs expand their businesses.
Founder Vice President Shagufta Bakht reaffirmed the forum’s commitment to promoting women’s development, business sustainability and mutual cooperation. She said future initiatives would include the exchange of trade delegations, which could strengthen bilateral trade relations while opening new investment and business opportunities for women entrepreneurs.
Bakht also emphasized that closer engagement between businesswomen from different countries would encourage the exchange of expertise, innovation and modern business practices, helping women strengthen their role in regional and international commerce.
