CHINA : A thermometer was removed from the stomach of a man from Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, China. Media reports say that a 32-year-old man named Wang went to the hospital due to stomach pain, where doctors examined him and discovered that a thermometer was present in his stomach. Doctors said that the Chinese citizen’s condition was critical because the tip of the thermometer was directly damaging the intestines, which could have caused perforation and severe internal bleeding. According to the doctors, they completed the operation in just 20 minutes with extreme caution. The Chinese citizen said that he had accidentally swallowed a thermometer at the age of 12, did not tell his parents out of fear, and did not feel any pain, after which he forgot to tell his parents.
