Karachi : The Russian Centre of Science and Culture celebrated the International Day of Volunteerism at the Independent Living Centre, where many wheelchair users and differently-abled people live. On this day, children, mothers, and boys from the “Hum Sab” team, together with the Russian Centre, helped clean the premises to make the environment better. They fed the residents, supported those who could not move or work on their own, and also assisted them in their studies when they faced difficulties. It was a wonderful and meaningful day for everyone, and all participants were very happy to be a part of it.   The most special moment of the day was the surprise birthday celebration of a boy living at the centre. The Russian House in Karachi arranged a secret birthday party for him. He was extremely happy and enjoyed dancing and celebrating with everyone.

The event was attended by Chand Nawab (ARY News), Zubair (City 21), Ms. Fariha Aqib from the Russian House, Javed Raees (Founder of WHO), and Hussain Ali, General Secretary of the Independent Living Centre. The volunteers were delighted, and the residents were very pleased. It was an excellent effort that promotes humanity, kindness, and support for the community. The Russian House in Karachi truly deserves appreciation for this initiative.
