KARACHI: On the occasion of Youm-e-Ashura, The month of Muharram witnessed many important events in the minds and hearts of Muslims that contain deep memories. The day of Ashura, the 10th day of Muharram, is also the date when the Karbala disaster, one of the saddest events in Islamic history, took place. This day has a special significance in Islamic history. The meaning of Ashura is to wake the sleeping conscious of those have lost ways of sublimity and threads of seeking freedom. This is the day when Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), the Holy Prophet’s grandson, took on the forces of falsehood for the glory of Islam.

Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) is the distinguished representative of a beautiful life, high morality, noble and honorable stance on the path of Islam. In fact, his aim and ideal are evident in his life, morals and martyrdom. As a matter of fact, he took his place against all kinds of wrong thoughts and beliefs that led the society to corruption and worked for the revival of the ummah and brotherhood consciousness. He stood against oppression and injustice with the aim of making right, law, and justice prevail and sacrificed his life for this cause. In this regard, Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) To love Hussein is to understand him; To follow his path is to adopt his ideals. The biggest task that falls to us today is to read this sad event, which hurt our hearts, with its causes and consequences, and to learn the lessons necessary for the present and future of the ummah.

As a matter of fact, commemorating Karbala is not an ordinary mourning event, it is Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA). It is to defend the values ??that Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) sacrificed his life for, right, law, justice and mercy, against oppression and oppressors.

On the other hand, Karbala, one of the greatest sufferings in the history of Islam, reminds us of our vital responsibilities. To open our hearts to each other, to leave all kinds of polarization aside, to renew our brotherhood covenant, Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) ideal of unity and brotherhood in the consciousness of being more close to each other, such as to put on our shoulders the lofty responsibility. He always advises us to be vigilant against the evil centers working to incite strife and mischief.

Therefore, we must be in an effort to reinforce our unity and solidarity with our feelings, thoughts, words, and behaviors in the face of the fluctuations of time. We should stay away from all kinds of discourses and actions that will harm our brotherhood and the conversation that keeps us together. We must not allow new Karbalas to happen and new pains to burn our hearts.

Islam a peaceful religion uniting men, women & children of various beliefs and cultures together in a safe beautiful environment reflecting the true message Imam Hussain (a) stood for on the day of Ashura. The martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A) was in fact the victory of truth, and symbol of steadfastness against oppression, and a glorious example of sacrifice.

Today the world of Islam is in a season of sorrow. Together with the sorrow of Karbala that hurts believing hearts, the wars, occupations, poverty, loneliness, and other similar difficulties incurred by the world of Islam has transformed the geography of Islam into a land of sorrow. While our hearts are full of sorrow with grief for Hussain and his friends who were martyred for the sake of political ambitions, the flames of unrest, discord and terror continue to burn the people in the Islamic geography.

On this day of Ashura, we reflect on the message of peace and empathy that echoes through generations. The sacrifice of Imam Hussain gave Muslims a lesson that one should not evade even sacrificing his life while fighting against the evil forces. the act of Imam e Hussain (RA) elevated the stature of humanity and he is a shared asset of the entire civilized world. The supreme sacrifice of Hazrat Imam e Hussain (RA) gave birth to attitudes of patience, submission and perseverance, and the entire humanity continues to benefit from them. It affects and includes every free human being of any race and religion in the world who does not tolerate oppression and injustice.

The countrymen for setting aside differences and promoting compassion, tolerance, and consultation to become a united nation and work for the development of Pakistan and make a pledge to take every step for the victory of truth, promotion of justice, adherence to Islamic values, and for national progress and prosperity. Come and let us vow that we would follow the principles espoused by Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) for the security of our motherland and the glory of Islam and would not hesitate to offer any sacrifice for the sake of Islamic principles. Let us embrace compassion and understanding for one another.

On this occasion, especially Sayyidu’s-suheda Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA). Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) I commemorate with mercy and gratitude all our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of religion, faith, homeland, and sanctity, including the oppressed Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and Karbala. I pray to our Almighty Lord that the month of Muharram and the day of Ashura will be instrumental in reinforcing our unity and brotherhood and that Muslims live a life in peace and security.
