Karachi: State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan (SLIC) has announced its strongest financial performance for the year 2025, highlighting record earnings and a historic profit bonus distribution for policyholders, according to a statement issued in Karachi on Tuesday.
The corporation reported total income of PKR 640 billion, total premium income of PKR 289 billion, and profit before tax of PKR 26 billion. It also declared a policyholder profit bonus exceeding PKR 181 billion, marking one of the largest payouts in its history.
SLIC said individual life new business grew by 32% year-on-year, reaching PKR 40 billion, driven by product innovation and restructuring of its nationwide distribution and marketing network.
The insurer’s total assets under management rose to PKR 2.5 trillion, strengthening its position as the country’s largest life and health insurance provider. During the year, the company paid PKR 224 billion in claims while continuing to expand its policyholder base.
CEO Shoaib Javed Hussain said the results reflect the organization’s transformation and its focus on translating institutional strength into direct financial benefits for policyholders. He emphasized that growth had been achieved through product innovation, operational discipline, and nationwide workforce performance.
Chairman of the board Saleem Zia said the results demonstrate continued financial stability and reaffirm the corporation’s role in providing long-term protection and contributing to Pakistan’s financial system stability.
SLIC stated that it remains focused on expanding insurance coverage, improving operational efficiency, and strengthening its role in financial inclusion. The organization also highlighted its contribution to national healthcare initiatives and its role in mobilizing long-term household savings across the country.
Officials said the record performance positions the institution for continued growth while enhancing value for policyholders and supporting broader economic resilience.
