He said the crackdown reflects the government’s zero-tolerance policy against kidnappings, extortion, armed gangs, and violent crime in riverine regions.

Major Results Reported in 2026 Operations

According to official figures shared by Hemnani, Sindh Police carried out 133 encounters between January and May 2026.

The operations took place across Sukkur, Khairpur, Ghotki, Shikarpur, Kashmore, and Jacobabad districts.

As a result, police killed 41 dacoits during the operations.

Furthermore, authorities injured or arrested 255 suspects, while 322 dacoits surrendered to law enforcement agencies.

Police also recovered 20 abductees and seized 157 weapons during the crackdown.

Government Vows Continued Action

Hemnani said the latest data shows the Sindh government’s aggressive strategy against organised crime in kacha areas.

He added that the provincial government continues to strengthen the writ of the state in vulnerable regions.

According to the spokesperson, Sindh Police also conducted 760 encounters during 2025 operations in kacha areas.

During those operations, police killed 120 dacoits and arrested 527 criminals.

In addition, authorities recovered 99 abductees and seized 1,912 weapons.

Rehabilitation and Development Also Planned

Alongside security operations, the Sindh government has also launched rehabilitation and development initiatives in affected regions.

Hemnani said authorities aim to improve infrastructure, public services, and living conditions in kacha areas.

Therefore, the government hopes to restore long-term peace and stability for local communities.

He further stated that the administration will continue its law and order campaign under the leadership of Asif Ali Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and Murad Ali Shah.
