Speaking via video link from the United States at a press conference held at the Karachi Press Club, Pannun said Pakistan’s response during “Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos” had enhanced its global standing and projected it as a “rising power” on the international stage.
He further claimed that Field Marshal Asim Munir had played a notable role in advocating peace during the US-Iran tensions, adding that his leadership had been acknowledged in various international political circles, including statements attributed to former US President Donald Trump.
Pannun reiterated solidarity from pro-Khalistan groups, stating that Sikhs would continue to stand with Pakistan in the event of any future escalation with India. He added that his organisation would oppose Indian state policies and continue its campaign for an independent Punjab.
Marking the 40th Khalistan Declaration Day, SFJ also announced the expansion of its voter registration drive for a proposed Khalistan referendum. According to the group, over 1.8 million Sikhs globally have already participated in the process.
The organisation said the next phase of voter registration would be conducted through gurdwaras, initially targeting regions in India including Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, and Haryana.
Pannun reaffirmed that the movement for Khalistan would continue “until its objective is achieved,” describing it as a growing international campaign.
