Saylani Welfare’s vision is not limited to providing aid; it is about enabling people to stand on their own feet,”— Chairman Maulana Muhammad Bashir Farooqi

Providing employment under the Self-Employment Scheme is a sustainable solution to poverty, and Saylani is a living example of this,”— Aslam Sheikh

Karachi (January 14, 2026): Through Saylani Welfare International Trust, several economically disadvantaged families have taken a decisive step toward permanent self-reliance. Continuing its long-standing tradition of welfare services, Saylani has enabled multiple deserving families to start their own small businesses under its Self-Employment Scheme. The initiative aims to provide dignified livelihood opportunities to underprivileged segments of society ahead of Ramadan and guide them toward sustainable economic independence.

In this regard, a dignified ceremony was organized at the Saylani Super Highway Logistic Hub, where families burdened by financial hardship departed with smiles and heartfelt prayers for Saylani. The event was attended by Head of Saylani Education Board Afzal Chamria, Trustee Abu Faisal, Welfare Department Head Javed Qadri, Head of Saylani CSR Furqan Aslam, along with other distinguished guests.

The chief guest of the ceremony, renowned businessman and Chairman of Taj Gasoline, *Aslam Sheikh*, advised beneficiaries of the Saylani Self-Employment Scheme to work diligently and strive to expand their small businesses so that they may one day support other needy families. Praising Saylani’s efforts, he stated that he felt deeply satisfied to see assistance reaching the truly deserving after thorough scrutiny. He emphasized that providing self-employment opportunities to the underprivileged is an effective and sustainable solution to poverty, and Saylani has become a practical role model in this field.

Founder and Chairman of Saylani Welfare International Trust, *Maulana Muhammad Bashir Farooqi*, expressed his gratitude to Aslam Sheikh and stated that under Saylani’s system, continuous monitoring is carried out even after assistance is provided to ensure that the businesses remain operational. He added that all beneficiary families are now part of the Saylani network, and their joys and sorrows are shared by Saylani. He reiterated that Saylani’s vision goes beyond charity and focuses on empowering individuals to stand on their own feet. He further explained that these small businesses were launched before Ramadan so that deserving families could earn a respectable livelihood and better support their households.

It is noteworthy that under the Self-Employment Scheme, biryani stalls, jockey machines, burger shops, popcorn stalls, fruit and confectionery carts, and sewing machines for women were distributed among deserving families.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, beneficiary families expressed their gratitude to Saylani Welfare and supporting organizations, voicing hope that this initiative would bring positive and lasting change to their lives.
