SABS UNIVERSITY HOLDS 4 th MEETING OF SYNDICATE.

Jamshoro : The 4 th meeting of Syndicate at Shaheed Allah Buksh Soomro (SABS)
University of Art, Design and Heritages Jamshoro was held under the chair of the Vice-Chancellor
Prof. Dr. Arabella Bhutto to discuss and resolve matters relating to smooth conduct of business at the
university. The meeting was held in a pleasant environment with amicable dialogues and discussions,
and in a cordial spirit.
The house confirmed the minutes of 3 rd meeting of syndicate held on March 10, 2024, persuaded the
actions taken on the decisions of the same meeting and acknowledged the actions taken by Vice-
chancellor after 3 rd syndicate meeting. The syndicate approved the recommendations of anomaly
committee for upgradation of assistant professors Syed Ali Abbas Jaferi and Nusrat Raza Mangi to
next higher grade BPS-20 on hardship basis.
The house recommended to form a committee with the approval of Vice-Chancellor SABS
University to discuss the bond amount after receiving the resignation of assistant professor of
Architecture Department Saima Shaikh, who went for PhD to Victoria University of Wellington,
New Zealand. The august house endorsed the decision of imposition of major penalty of removal
from service to deputy director finance Asif Ali Shar on recommendation of women harassment
committee of SABS University. The syndicate offered in person hearing on appeal of Asif Ali Shar
against the imposition of major penalty of removal from service on harassment charges, and the
decision was upheld until the opinion from legal advisor.
The meeting was attended by the nominee from HEC Islamabad Prof. Dr. Nilofar Shaikh, nominee
from HEC Sindh Nadira Panjwani, person of eminence Sharif Awan, person of eminence Dr. Noman
Ahmed, member on women’s quota Prof. Shahnaz Ismail, person of eminence Prof. Tazeen Hussain,
elected members Fazal Ellahi Khan, Shahid Qayoom Memon, Muhammad Younis Kangri, acting
registrar Muhammad Suleman Bhutto and incharge director finance Muneer Ahmed Khatian.
