Pakistan: Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, the Pakistan People’s Party central Punjab President, strongly criticized Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s recent statement regarding cross-border operations, calling it irresponsible and likely to escalate tensions in the region. Ashraf stated that India conducts election campaigns based on hostility towards Pakistan, and urged the Pakistani government to approach the International Court of Justice regarding Singh’s confession. Ashraf also accused the BJP-led Indian government of fearing defeat in the upcoming general elections and emphasized Pakistan’s armed forces’ ability to respond to any aggression. He suggested that Pakistan’s foreign ministry raise the issue in the United Nations.
