Qatar Airways Resumes Saudi Flights to Qassim, Taif, Tabuk and Yanbu
Qatar Airways expands its Saudi network with the return of flights to four destinations.
Qatar Airways will resume services to Qassim, Taif, Yanbu and Tabuk as part of its winter schedule. The move will increase the airline’s weekly operations in Saudi Arabia by more than 10% compared with the summer season.
The airline will restart flights to Qassim (ELQ) on October 25, 2026. Services to Taif (TIF) will return on October 31. Yanbu (YNB) will follow on January 2, 2027, while flights to Tabuk (TUU) will resume on January 3.
Each route will operate two flights per week. The additional services will give passengers more travel options and easier connections to Qatar Airways’ global network of more than 160 destinations.
Qatar Airways Expands Saudi Network
The airline said the expansion reflects its long-term commitment to the Saudi market. It also aims to strengthen connectivity between the Kingdom and international destinations through Doha.
Qatar Airways will operate more than 155 weekly flights to Saudi Arabia during the winter season. That represents an increase of more than 10% from its summer schedule.
Over the past 12 months, the airline carried more than 2.3 million passengers between Saudi Arabia and destinations across its global network.

The carrier has also increased services on major Saudi routes. In June 2026, it raised flights between Doha and Riyadh from 35 to 49 per week.
The higher frequency gives passengers more flexibility when connecting through Hamad International Airport in Doha.
Four Routes Return
Qatar Airways will operate the renewed services according to the following schedule:
Qassim (ELQ)
Services will resume on October 25, 2026, with flights operating every Sunday. An additional Friday service will start on October 30.
Doha–Qassim: QR1194, departing 08:15 and arriving 10:00
Qassim–Doha: QR1195, departing 11:05 and arriving 12:40
From October 30, the Friday service will depart Doha at 09:05 and arrive in Qassim at 10:50. The return flight will leave Qassim at 11:50 and reach Doha at 13:25.
Taif (TIF)
Flights will resume on October 31, 2026. The route will operate every Wednesday and Saturday.
Doha–Taif: QR1206, departing 07:35 and arriving 10:00
Taif–Doha: QR1207, departing 11:00 and arriving 13:10
Yanbu (YNB)
Services will restart on January 2, 2027, with flights operating every Wednesday and Saturday.
Doha–Yanbu: QR1216, departing 07:30 and arriving 10:15
Yanbu–Doha: QR1217, departing 11:20 and arriving 13:35
Tabuk (TUU)
Flights will resume on January 3, 2027. The route will operate every Thursday and Sunday.
Doha–Tabuk: QR1220, departing 07:25 and arriving 10:20
Tabuk–Doha: QR1221, departing 11:20 and arriving 13:45
Starlink Wi-Fi Available on Key Routes
Passengers on some of Qatar Airways’ busiest Saudi routes can also access next-generation onboard connectivity.
Widebody aircraft equipped with Starlink regularly operate on flights to Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam. Eligible passengers can use complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi from gate to gate.
The airline operated more than 685 Starlink-equipped flights across these three routes in July 2026 alone.
The connectivity service adds another feature for passengers travelling through the airline’s expanding Saudi network.
Qatar Airways Network Covers Major Saudi Cities
With the four route resumptions, Qatar Airways will serve a broad range of destinations across Saudi Arabia.
Its network includes Abha, AlUla, Qassim, Dammam, Hail, Jeddah, Madinah, Riyadh, Tabuk, Taif, The Red Sea and Yanbu.
The airline also plans to resume services to NEOM in the second half of 2027.
The expanded Saudi flights network will provide passengers with more options for travel between the Kingdom, Doha and international destinations.
Qatar Airways said bookings are now available through its website and mobile application.
Members of the airline’s Privilege Club can also earn and redeem Avios. The programme offers benefits such as upgrades, extra baggage and shopping and dining options at Qatar Duty Free.
