Karachi: The Pakistan U.S. Alumni Network (PUAN) – Karachi Chapter recently organized a heartwarming event at the V Care old people’s home, spreading joy and happiness among the elderly residents. The event, held on Eid day, featured a variety of activities aimed at engaging and uplifting the spirits of the seniors.
In collaboration with Women Squad, PUAN organized interactive games, a musical session, cake cutting, gift distribution, and a delightful dinner for the residents. The event was a testament to the importance of community engagement and the power of spreading love and kindness.
One of the highlights of the event was a free medical and lab tests camp conducted by Dr. Essa Laboratory & Diagnostic Centre, ensuring that the elderly residents received the necessary care and attention.
Exchange ambassador Rahmeen Urooj Zaidi and PUAN member Syed Nazakat Hussain also took the opportunity to give a presentation to young volunteers from various universities on US State Sponsored programs. The presentation provided valuable insights into the exchange program and how to leverage educational opportunities provided by such initiatives.
The event served as a reminder of the importance of showing respect and care for the elderly, who are often marginalized in society. PUAN Karachi Chapter’s efforts to bring joy and companionship to the residents of V Care home were greatly appreciated by all involved.
The success of the event would not have been possible without the support and contributions of all the volunteers, organizers, and sponsors. PUAN Karachi Chapter expressed their gratitude to everyone who helped make the event a memorable and impactful experience for all.
