On Friday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) submitted a criminal complaint to the District and Sessions Court in Islamabad, seeking action against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and others for their alleged involvement in the violence during the recent protest in Islamabad.
According to a report by Pakistan Observer, the complaint was filed by Sardar Latif Khan Khosa through Barrister Gohar. PTI is pursuing legal action against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, and Information Minister Atta Tarar, as well as the Inspector General, SSP, DIG, and other officials.
The report states that the complaint lists 38 injured PTI workers and 139 missing PTI workers. The complainant requested the court to accept the criminal complaint and summon Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the other respondents.
Additionally, two ministers and two provincial assembly members from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were cited as witnesses. The complaint also requested the court to issue non-bailable warrants against the respondents and impose penalties in accordance with the law.
