Karachi (08th April 2026): UBG President Zubair Tufail stated that he pays great tribute to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir for playing an excellent role in stopping the war between the United States and Iran and establishing peace.

He said that the business community believes that due to the efforts of the Prime Minister and the Field Marshal, a ceasefire has been achieved in the Middle East. Global confidence in Pakistan has been restored, and the country is now considered a safe and attractive destination for investment.

The UBG President appreciated Pakistan’s outstanding diplomatic performance in mediating a ceasefire between the United States and Iran. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Prime Minister and the Field Marshal, stating that the Pakistan Armed Forces have always played a crucial role in maintaining peace and stability, and the entire nation takes pride in them.

Zubair Tufail further said that the wisdom and diplomatic skill demonstrated by Pakistan’s leadership in stopping the US-Iran conflict are commendable. As a result of this ceasefire, millions of precious human lives have been saved, and pathways for peace in the region have been opened.

He added that following the ceasefire between the United States and Iran, there are expectations that sanctions imposed on Iran may be eased to some extent, which would benefit Pakistan. Improved relations and reduced tensions between Iran and the United States will be extremely important for peace in the region.
