KARACHI, December 08, 2022: Pakistan Association of Press Photographers (PAPP) on Thursday hosted a reception to honor Body of Karachi Press Club (KPC) at the KPC here.
President KPC FazilJamili, Secretary KPC Rizwan Bhatti and other office bearers of KPC body were presented traditional gifts of Ajarak and Sindhi Topi by President PAPP Syed Abbas Mehdi, Secretary PAPP Muhammad Jameel and others office bearers of PAPP.
Speaking on the occasion, President KPC FazilJamili informed the gathering that the KPC body has decided that a office for the PAPP be established during the expansion work of KPC.
FazilJamili appreciated the PAPP for welfare works for its members.
He advised the photographers to groom themselves at par with the changing trends in the media industry.
Secretary KPC Rizwan Bhatti said the application of the PAPP regarding establishment of the office of PAPP inside KPC premises is endorsed by the body of KPC.
He also advised the PAPP office bearers to pay attention to skills development of the photographers.
President PAPP Syed Abbas Mehdi and Secretary PAPP Muhammad Jameel expressed gratitude to the office bearers of KPC for granting requested of the PAPP regarding office of the Association in the press Club and termed it as a historic cooperation with the PAPP.
They said that we are very grateful for the support of the Sindh Government with the Association, especially, increasing the annual grant from Rs 1 to 2 million, which will help the PAPP to work more effectively for welfare of their members.
They said that the contributions of present Body of KPC for welfare of the KPC members are commendable.
