Karachi (29-05-2025): Taking a major step toward strengthening trade relations between Pakistan and Kenya, the Pakistan-Kenya Business Council has announced that an Importers Networking Expo will be held in Nairobi on July 22, 2025.
A key meeting of the Pakistan-Kenya Business Council was held in this regard, chaired by the Council’s CEO, Bonaventure. Prominent council members and business leaders attended the session. The meeting included detailed discussions on the Council’s role in promoting bilateral trade, and it was decided to organize an expo for Pakistani importers in Nairobi.
The meeting stressed the importance of establishing a robust framework to support the business communities of both nations, aiming to enhance the volume and diversity of imports and exports. The core agenda was the planning of the Pakistan-Kenya Business Council Importers Networking Breakfast and Expo, scheduled for July 22, 2025, in Nairobi.
This important event will be attended by leading Pakistani exporters, prominent Kenyan importers, government representatives from both countries, and members of major trade organizations and chambers.
Rafiq Suleman, General Secretary of the Pakistan-Kenya Business Council, said that this expo will serve as a dynamic platform for effective networking at both Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Government (B2G) levels. He further stated that following the expo, a factory visit will be arranged on July 23, allowing participants to observe industrial operations firsthand.
He emphasized that the Pakistan-Kenya Business Council acts as a vital bridge between the private sectors of Pakistan and Kenya, aiming to create new business opportunities, strengthen trade ties, and promote economic development in both countries.
The Council’s CEO, Bonaventure, affirmed the Council’s commitment to promoting trade and investment between Kenya and Pakistan. He stated, “We look forward to welcoming all esteemed businesses and stakeholders to this growing platform, which will serve as a strong link between our two nations.”
The consultative meeting was also attended by Shakeel Bachoo, Shahid Ganatra, and Israel Logadro, who shared their valuable suggestions. On this occasion, Rafiq Suleman also met with Dr. Erick Rutto, President of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and extended a formal invitation to the expo. Dr. Rutto accepted the invitation and assured full cooperation.
This expo is expected to become a milestone in trade relations between the two countries, strengthening business ties and opening new avenues for economic growth.
