Pakistan, Algeria Hold High-Level Talks on Sidelines of Antalya Diplomacy Forum

Antalya: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held bilateral talks with Algeria’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ahmed Attaf on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations and regional diplomatic cooperation.

According to details, the meeting provided an opportunity to review the long-standing and friendly ties between Pakistan and Algeria, with both sides agreeing on the need to further enhance cooperation across political, economic, and diplomatic spheres.

During the meeting, Ishaq Dar extended a formal invitation to Ahmed Attaf to undertake an official visit to Pakistan, underscoring Islamabad’s desire to deepen engagement with Algiers at the highest level.

Both ministers also exchanged views on the evolving situation in the Middle East and the Arabian Gulf region, particularly ongoing conflicts and diplomatic initiatives aimed at regional stability.

Ahmed Attaf appreciated Pakistan’s active diplomatic role and mediation efforts in facilitating a ceasefire between conflicting parties in the region. He expressed hope that continued diplomatic engagement and good offices would contribute to lasting solutions to regional disputes and help establish long-term peace and stability.

The two sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening coordination in multilateral forums and working together on issues of mutual concern, including peace, security, and development in the wider Muslim world.

The meeting concluded with both leaders expressing optimism about expanding cooperation and maintaining close diplomatic contact in the future.
