A medical officer posted at Samli Sanatorium in Murree has accused a man of raping her while impersonating an adviser to the Punjab Chief Minister, according to an FIR filed with the police.
The victim stated that the suspect, a resident of her native village in Khanewal, pretended to be a CM adviser and promised he could arrange her transfer to a hospital of her choice. Over time, he continued offering assurances and eventually summoned her to Lahore.
When she arrived, the man allegedly threatened her using videos of her family and attempted to assault her. The incident escalated on May 20, when the suspect allegedly forced his way into her hostel in Murree, lied to security, claiming she was his wife, and forcibly took her away.
According to the FIR, she was placed in a cab with two other men who threatened her life and transported her to a hotel, where two more individuals were stationed. There, the suspect allegedly raped her repeatedly overnight.
She later managed to escape and informed her father, who traveled from Multan to be with her. She subsequently filed a police report accusing the suspect of rape, abduction, and impersonation, also naming two accomplices who assisted in the crime.
Although an FIR has been registered, no arrests have been made yet.
