Karachi, 4th July 2025 : Dr. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig Member National Assembly & Standing Committee on Finance & Revenue, Commerce & Economic Affairs, left New York to attend BoD meeting of Parliamentarian for Global Action (PGA) from 6 to 8 July 2025having head office in New York. Dr. Baig has been elected on the EC and BoD, whereasMNA Naveed Qamaris the current President of PGA representing Pakistan.
PGA mobilizes legislators to champion human rights, democracy. PGA’s core function is to inform, convene, and mobilize parliamentarians to promote peace, democracy, the rule of law, human rights, gender equality, and population issues. The visit also includes roundtable conferenceat Ford Foundation and PGA board meeting in United Nation. Dr. Baig called it a great honor to represent Pakistan at this august forum. Dr. Baig will also visit Houston to attend dinner reception hosted by overseas Pakistanis in his honor.
