Karachi’s Eid Cleanup Operation Continues on Third Day as Over 90,000 Tons of Waste Removed

The Sindh Solid Waste Management Board continued its Eidul Azha cleanup operation on the third day of Eid in Karachi.

President Zardari Calls for National Unity, Economic Strength and Agricultural Growth

Officials removed more than 90,000 tons of animal waste and garbage from across the city.

Teams transported the waste to designated landfill sites.

Mayor Karachi supervises operation

Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab monitored the operation with the Managing Director of the board.

He praised sanitation workers for completing the operation effectively this year.

Cleanup work continues day and night

Murtaza Wahab said cleanup teams were working nonstop in all districts of Karachi.

He added that the city’s overall situation remained under control during Eid holidays.

Authorities resolve public complaints

The mayor said SSWMB teams were removing animal remains and disposing of them on time.

He also said authorities resolved almost all complaints received through the 1128 helpline.

Roads cleaned after waste removal

Sanitation workers sprinkled lime on roads after removing waste.

Teams also sprayed rose water in several areas to reduce odor and improve cleanliness.
