JRL calls for shutdown on Monday to remember Burhan Wani

In occupied Kashmir, the Joint Resistance Leadership remembering popular youth leader Burhan Wani his associates and other martyrs of 2016 mass uprising has called for complete shutdown on Monday.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian troops had martyred Burhan Wani in a fake encounter in Kokernag area of Islamabad district on 8th July in 2016.

In a statement in Srinagar, paying rich tributes to all the Kashmiri martyrs particularly Burhan Wani,  the JRL appealed to the people of Tral and adjoining areas to pay homage to Burhan Wani.

It also requested the people to pay tributes to every martyr in their vicinity and take pledge to carry the noble mission of the martyrs to its logical end.

The JRL urged the world powers to look into the Kashmir dispute which has consumed more than half a million people and still continues to suck the blood of innocents on daily basis.

It said the Kashmiris are striving for resolution of the Kashmir issue peacefully without any further bloodshed.

Meanwhile, the arrangements made by the Indian authorities for the Amarnath yatris have exposed the real face of secular India.

While the Muslims in occupied Kashmir and India are not even allowed to perform their religious obligations, the Indian state leaves no stone unturned to facilitate the Hindu pilgrims during the annual Amarnath yatra that continues for several weeks.

The occupation authorities have deployed around 60,000 Indian troops on the routes of the ongoing Amarnath yatra, which commenced on 1st July.

Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front has also strongly condemned ban imposed by occupation authorities on movement of civilian traffic on Srinagar-Jammu highway during Amarnath Yatra.

In a statement in Srinagar, JKLF Acting Chairman, Abdul Hameed Butt said banning civilian traffic on highway for a lame excuse of providing security to Amarnath pilgrims actually shows religious fanatic face of the Indian rulers.

He said people are suffering massively due to this undemocratic and illegal order.

He said international community should put pressure on India to refrain from such inhuman and undemocratic acts.

On the other hand, Fruit growers and traders held a demonstration in Sopore town to protest against the authorities’ move of restricting civilian traffic on Srinagar-Jammu highway in the name of so-called security of Amarnath yatris.

A group of Hindu extremists abused and thrashed three Muslim youth and forced them to chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’ slogan in Ranchi city of Indian state of Jharkhand.
