Iran: A 22-year-old girl died in police custody for not wearing hijab

For not wearing a full hijab, Tehran police detained and severely tortured 22-year-old Mahsa Amini, as a result of which she went into a coma. During the treatment, the young girl lost her life.

According to foreign media reports, Muhsa Amini was brought to the hospital with serious injuries.

According to media reports, doctors said that the victim was brought to the hospital in a coma on Tuesday.

After being shifted to the hospital, she was put on full ventilator but she could not survive and died on Friday.

Speaking to the media, Mehsa Amini’s brother said that he and his family were visiting Tehran when the police arrested Mehsa and took her to the police station for not following the dress code and showing hair through her hijab. .

He further said that the policemen were interrogating the sister in the police station and I was waiting for him outside. Meanwhile, an ambulance came and Messa was taken to the hospital, while we were told that he had suffered a heart attack.

According to media reports, it is still unclear what happened between the time Mehsa arrived at the police station and went to the hospital.

A local TV channel said that Misha had suffered a head injury.

On the other hand, human rights organizations including Mehsa Amini’s family have demanded justice from the Iranian government for the alleged death of the young girl in custody.
