Inter Milan produced a dramatic second-half comeback on Tuesday to defeat Como 3-2 and secure a place in the Italian Cup final, overturning a two-goal deficit in a thrilling encounter at the San Siro.

The victory saw Inter progress with a 3-2 aggregate win, keeping alive their hopes of a domestic double as they continue their dominant Serie A campaign under head coach Cristian Chivu.
Como stunned the home crowd early in the second half with a composed display. Martin Baturina opened the scoring with a precise finish in the 32nd minute, before Lucas Da Cunha doubled the lead shortly after the break, putting Inter on the brink of elimination.
At that stage, the Serie A leaders appeared to be in serious trouble, struggling to break down a well-organised Como side, who were backed by a passionate travelling support and had already exceeded expectations in the competition.
However, Inter responded through midfielder Hakan Çalhano?lu, who pulled one back in the 69th minute with a deflected strike that shifted momentum firmly in the hosts’ favour.
Riding the surge of energy inside San Siro, Inter pressed relentlessly in the closing stages. Çalhano?lu then delivered a pinpoint cross in the 86th minute, which was headed home to level the tie and ignite hopes of a comeback.
In stoppage time, Petar Su?i? completed the turnaround with a composed finish after a swift attacking move, sealing a dramatic victory and sending Inter into the final.
Inter will now face either Atalanta or Lazio in the Coppa Italia final in Rome next month, with the second semi-final still delicately poised at 2-2 ahead of the return leg.
Despite the dramatic win, Çalhano?lu insisted the team must quickly refocus on their league objectives, with Inter sitting 12 points clear at the top of Serie A and closing in on the Scudetto.
The midfielder credited Como for their strong performance but praised Inter’s resilience in turning the match around under pressure.
The defeat ends Como’s remarkable cup run, having risen from Italy’s third tier in 2019 following investment from the Djarum Group, but they leave the competition with growing recognition for their progress and style of play.
Inter, meanwhile, remain on course for a potential double as they continue to dominate domestically while chasing silverware on multiple fronts.
