Nowadays, inflation in Pakistan has reached an unbearable level. The recent increase in petrol and diesel prices has made life even more difficult for the common people. Petrol has risen to around Rs. 458 per litre and diesel to Rs. 520 per litre—figures that feel shocking for an average citizen.
The problem is not just expensive fuel; it affects everything. When petrol prices go up, the cost of transportation increases, and as a result, the prices of basic necessities like vegetables, flour, milk, and rent also rise. Every household feels this burden deeply.
What makes the situation worse is that salaries remain the same while expenses keep increasing. A person who once used their motorcycle freely now has to think twice before filling the tank. For many, it has become a difficult choice between fuel and essential household needs.
Leisure and outings have almost disappeared from the lives of ordinary people. With limited resources, people now step out only for urgent needs. Happiness, comfort, and small joys are slowly fading away from daily life.
For the government, this may be an economic decision, but for the public, it is a matter of survival. The question remains: how long can people continue to ???? this pressure?
There is an urgent need for relief—higher salaries, better economic planning, and serious efforts to control inflation. Because a strong nation is not built on struggling people, but on those who can live with dignity and peace.
