Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a significant jump on Friday, rising by Rs3,500 per tola, bringing the new price to Rs351,000, according to data released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 10 grams of gold also surged by Rs3,000, now standing at Rs300,925.

This sharp increase follows a decline recorded on Thursday, when gold prices had dipped by Rs1,900 per tola, closing at Rs347,500.

International Market Influence

The surge in local prices mirrors a global uptrend, with the international gold price rising by $35, reaching $3,326 per ounce, inclusive of a $20 premium, as reported by APGJSA.

Silver Also Climbs

The price of silver also experienced a modest rise, increasing by Rs38 per tola, with the new rate set at Rs3,466.

Analysts attribute the hike to global market volatility, increased investor interest in safe-haven assets, and currency fluctuations.
