KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a sharp rise on Thursday, mirroring upward trends in the international market. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold surged by Rs4,000 per tola, reaching Rs356,900 in the domestic market.
The rate for 10 grams of gold also climbed significantly, increasing by Rs3,430 to hit Rs305,984. This follows a Rs600 rise on Wednesday, when gold was priced at Rs352,900 per tola.
Internationally, gold prices saw an uptick as well, reaching $3,375 per ounce (including a $20 premium), up by $30 compared to the previous day. Meanwhile, silver prices remained unchanged, holding steady at Rs3,745 per tola.
