Foreign Office Spokesman Asim Iftikhar Ahmed says that the Secretary General of the United Nations has made a commitment to Pakistan for holding the International Donors Conference, and the French President has offered to host this conference.
Foreign Office Spokesman Asim Iftikhar Ahmed said in the weekly briefing that the discussion regarding the place and time of the conference is going on.
The spokesperson of the Foreign Office said that the Prime Minister visited New York for the United Nations General Assembly and met with many world leaders including the United Nations Secretary General.
The spokesperson said that in his address, the Prime Minister drew the attention of the international community to the floods, and drew attention to the disastrous effects of climate change.
In his address, the Prime Minister mentioned the low share of developing countries in climate change.
The spokesman said that the issue of loans is very important in the context of the current situation and floods.
He said that the Prime Minister in his address and meetings highlighted the atrocities in Occupied Kashmir and invited India to establish peace and fight against poverty together.
A spokesman for the Foreign Office said it would relaunch the flash appeal on Tuesday in conjunction with the United Nations, a revised appeal to be relaunched in the European Union.
He said that China has helped Pakistan a lot in the flood situation.
He said that he wants India to solve mutual problems and relations in the interest of both countries, after the actions taken by India in Occupied Kashmir on August 5, 2019, relations further deteriorated.
The spokesman said that India has to take responsible steps on the situation in Occupied Kashmir, efforts are being made to raise the issue of Dr. Aafia in a better way, the matter is in the court.
He said that it is regrettable that India does not allow Pakistanis to participate in the Urs of Mujaddid al-Shani, it is also a violation of the mutual agreement between the two countries.
He said that this Urs was to be held from September 19 to 26, in which 196 pilgrims were to participate, 44 persons were not issued visas, others’ visas were subject to a police report.
