Karachi : The Federal Ombudsman Secretariat for Protection against Harassment (FOSPAH) reaffirms its commitment to combat workplace harassment under the leadership of Regional Head Ms. Sabika Shah at the Regional office, Sindh. FOSPAH actively works towards creating awareness and fostering a culture of zero tolerance for harassment nationwide.
As part of its ongoing initiatives, FOSPAH collaborated with Sir Syed University for a painting competition to engage and empower the younger generation to be advocates for change. The event on November 30th, 2023, witnessed students using their creative expressions to address the importance of a safe working environment for women and the detrimental effects of harassment. Participants depicted powerful messages through their artwork, addressing issues such as verbal abuse, discrimination, and unequal treatment that women may face in professional settings. The use of vibrant colors and creative expressions aimed to capture the attention of viewers whilst evoking a sense of empathy and urgency.
Team FOSPAH praised the creativity and enthusiasm of the participants, awarding the top three winners and distributing certificates to all participants. Chancellor Mr. Jawaid Anwar, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Waliuddin, and Registrar Engineer Syed Sarafaz Ali emphasized the significance of such initiatives in shaping the mindset of future professionals.
