Female teacher admits to having sex with underage student and having a child.

AUSTRALIA : A married teacher has admitted in an Australian court to having sex with a minor student and giving birth to his child. According to the international news agency, Naomi Tekia Craig, a 33-year-old married teacher from Mandurah, Western Australia, has admitted 15 charges in court. The court was told that the female teacher had sexual relations from August 2024 to December 2025, when the student was only 12 years old at the time. The female teacher was initially charged with four charges, but after investigation, 11 more charges were added, which the accused admitted to. The sexual crimes to which the female teacher has admitted include allegations of having ongoing sexual relations with a minor boy. Police say the female teacher had a sexual relationship with the underage student for about 14 months and also became pregnant and gave birth to his child. Female teacher Naomi Tekia Craig is charged with having sex with a child under the age of 13 and giving birth to a child, sexually abusing other students up to the age of 16, engaging in persistent lewd behavior with children, and possessing child pornography. The Police Commissioner described the incident as extremely serious, saying that sexual crimes against children are a shock to society, especially when the accused holds a position or responsibility. Female teacher Tekia Craig admitted all charges in court via audio link, after which the court upheld her bail with protective conditions, including not having any contact with any child alone. It should be noted that Tekia Craig taught at Frederick Iron Anglican School and was on leave following the birth of her second child at the time of her arrest. The Frederick School assured parents that the victim was not a student at their school and that the female teacher had been fired. Police say that the identities of the affected students are not being released at this time, nor can it be said which school these students belonged to. The case has been sent to the district court where the next hearing will be held on March 27, 2026, and the female teacher will be sentenced.
