Karachi- 19th September 2024— Federal Minister for States and Frontier Regions, Mr. Amir Muqam while addressing NGOs, Afghan refugees at Urban Cohesion Hub Karachi, issued an important statement today, saying, “Pakistan is the country that has opened its doors of affection for our Afghan brothers and continues to keep them open. There is no other country in the world that has extended hospitality to thirty lakh Afghan refugees for forty years.”

Mr. Muqam dismissed rumors circulating on social media, stating, “You should not be swayed by social media discussions; there is no truth in them.”
He also emphasized that “the party making these claims is essentially trying to protect one individual.”
In conclusion, the Federal Minister appealed to Afghan refugees to stand up and chant ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ to demonstrate mutual respect between the two countries.
On this occasion, the Federal Minister urged the public to seriously consider national issues and avoid unfounded rumors.
