Karachi: Farhat Liaquat Dairkee, CEO ALFAAZZ, Hybrid Learning Platform, attended a consultative session on “Out of School Children” (OOSC), hosted by the Reform Support Unit -School Education and Literacy Department, Government of Sindh.
The meeting was held in Karachi. Key attendees included dignitaries and officials of the Sindh Education and Literacy Department, Sindh Education Foundation, Aga Khan University Examination Board, with several educationists and members of the civil society.
The session began with welcome remarks by Chief Advisor Curriculum Wing Dr Fouzia Khan, followed by an Opening Speech by Honourable Secretary School Education and Literacy Department, Ghulam Akbar Laghari.
In a Roundtable Discussion on the Identification of causes for OOSC and the Development of a plan and strategy to bring back OOSC, the Honourable Secretary called upon the dignitaries to identify causes for Out of School Children and solutions and ways to bring them to school.
A healthy debate concluded by accepting the role of technology, infrastructure building, capacity building and incentives for attracting children to school.
