KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Member National Assembly Mr. Aftab Hussain Siddiqui and Member Provincial Assembly Mr. Khurram Sher Zaman have announced complete repair of 200 shops for the victims of Cooperative Market. Approximately 60 million rupees have been estimated for all these works including electrical, concrete, and paint works. The work will be carried out without the help of the provincial government.
PTI leaders said that the tragedy on the Cooperative Market. We will not allow anyone to do politics but will give full support to our Karachi businessmen on such an occasion. The traders of Cooperative Market have welcomed the announcement of PTI Member National Assembly Mr. Aftab Hussain Siddiqui and Member Provincial Assembly Mr. Khurram Sher Zaman and also thanked both the leaders.

Recently, the worst fire broke out in Cooperative Market, which must have engulfed 200 shops, affecting about 40,000 people and leaving them unemployed.
How did fire? Until the provincial government and Karachi administrator could find out. The victims would be compensated so that the shops would be repaired and business would resume. No one was able to alleviate their grief. However, a speech and photo session was made.
On this occasion, PTI MNA Mr. Aftab Hussain Siddiqui said that we are not doing it for political scoring but to please Allah. This work was done in consultation with all members of PTI including Hon’ble Prime Minister Imran Khan, and Hon’ble Governor of Sindh Imran Ismail.
PTI MNA Mr. Aftab Hussein Siddiqui also expressed that in another phase we will stand by all the shopkeepers and demand from Sindh Government and Karachi Administrator that they are given compensation. Steps are taken so that such an unpleasant incident does not happen in the future.
