KARACHI – The Corona epidemic has not only terrorized the world but also affected daily life. The need for precautionary measures against this disease has taken away the smiles on the faces of the people and the colors of the celebrations. Opportunities to meet also pass with broken hearts due to the restrictions of social distances.
In such a case, if an individual or an organization makes us laugh or smile, then these moments are no less than a blessing and a reward for the one who arranges them. On February 4, 2021, a similar work was done and well organized by the management of Union Cooperative Club Karachi. The venue was beautifully decorated on the Hussain Sabzazar of the club and the president of the club Shamim Arif Farpo, along with other members of the club were seen welcoming the guests in the venue.
The event was organized by Mahmood Ahmad Khan, a well-known social and literary figure of the city and the spirit of world poetry, as the event was in the form of a humorous poetry and Mahmood Ahmad Khan performed this duty brilliantly. The President of the event was SM Moin Qureshi, a well-known writer and comedian of the country. Mirza Asi Akhtar and Azmi Ali Khan, with their lively speeches, brought laughter to the whole venue and even made Corona the subject of their poems.
Shamim Arif Farpo, President of the Club, a well-known social figure and former President of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industries, welcomed the guests and delivered a welcome address on the occasion. What and held. So I am very grateful to all the poets and listeners for coming here I may not have the words to greet you at today’s event. However, you may be guessing at the feelings in my heart that are rippling with your respect.
life is a combination of different conditions. Sometimes it shows us happiness, sometimes it is sad, sometimes it is calm, sometimes it is restless and sometimes it brings tears to our eyes, sometimes it brings smiles and laughter to our lips. In the age we are living in at the moment, it is possible that happiness is less visible. Circumstances have taken smiles and laughter out of our purchasing power like essentials.
