CBD Punjab Advances Plans for 374-Kanal Diplomatic Enclave in Lahore

CBD Punjab CEO Imran Amin reviews preparations for the proposed Diplomatic Enclave at the Bab-e-Pakistan site in Lahore.
LAHORE, October 10, 2026: The Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA), also known as CBD Punjab, is advancing preparations for a proposed Diplomatic Enclave at CBD Bab District in line with Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s vision to enhance Punjab’s international profile.
CBD Punjab Chief Executive Officer Imran Amin visited the Bab-e-Pakistan site to review preparatory activities for the proposed 374-kanal project. During the visit, he inspected areas where initial site-clearing work had been carried out and assessed progress on preliminary development activities. The authority has also initiated the design process to move the project towards the next stages of planning.
The proposed Diplomatic Enclave is envisioned as a dedicated destination for foreign diplomatic missions, including those of the United States, China and other countries. The development aims to provide purpose-built facilities for diplomatic representation while creating opportunities for international cooperation, economic engagement and investment in Punjab.
Speaking during the visit, Imran Amin said the project would represent an important step towards positioning Punjab as a destination for international diplomatic engagement and investment. He reaffirmed CBD Punjab’s commitment to implementing the chief minister’s vision through modern urban planning, world-class infrastructure and sustainable development initiatives.
The proposed enclave is expected to support Punjab’s efforts to strengthen international relationships and create an environment conducive to investment and economic growth.
During the same visit, Amin also reviewed development work at CBD Walk, inspecting the exterior finishing of buildings and ongoing activities at CBD Lake.

The project teams informed him that asphalt work on the main road at CBD Walk had been completed, while marble installation along the foundation and sloping sections of CBD Lake was underway. The CEO reviewed the progress and stressed the importance of maintaining construction quality and ensuring timely completion of the ongoing work.
The visit highlighted CBD Punjab’s continued focus on advancing strategic infrastructure projects and modern urban developments across its districts. Through these initiatives, the authority aims to encourage economic activity, attract investment and strengthen Punjab’s position as a destination for international engagement.
Director Project Management Asif Iqbal, Director Architecture and Planning Sameer Aftab Sial, Director Construction Asif Iqbal and officers from the relevant departments were also present during the visit.
