The businessmen delegation, headed by Ishtiaq Baig, Chairman of the Pak-Morocco Business Council and Hon. Consul General of Morocco, has returned after a successful visit to Morocco and Biryani Festival. During the visit, the delegation, comprised of 25 leading businessmen from various sectors, included Miza Ikhtiar Baig, member of parliament and former SVP.

The delegation embarked on a visit to the Casablanca Chamber of Commerce & Industry, engaging in fruitful discussions with President Hassan Berkani and his esteemed team. Subsequently, they proceeded to the Rabat Chamber of Commerce, convening with the President and his associates, facilitating impactful B2B meetings among attending businessmen.

Amidst the delegation’s itinerary, a delightful biryani festival unfolded at the Embassy of Pakistan in Rabat, drawing participation from the Ambassador of Pakistan, distinguished diplomats, Presidents of Chambers, and an array of businessmen. The culinary affair featured a tantalizing array of biryanis meticulously prepared by the Pakistani chef and his proficient team. Noteworthy to mention, this marked the 4th iteration of the biryani festival in Morocco, serving as a commendable platform to showcase Pakistani rice and spices, thereby enhancing bilateral culinary exchanges and fostering cultural bonds.

Morocco, known as a gateway to Africa and a thriving business hub, plays a pivotal role in facilitating trade and commerce. Currently, the bilateral trade between Pakistan and Morocco has surged to USD 850 million, reflecting the robust economic ties between the two nations. Following the delegation’s visit, there is optimistic anticipation that the bilateral trade between these countries will experience even greater growth in the near future.
