(Karachi )The social organization Sirat-e-Mustaqeem Welfare Trust, in collaboration with Al-Mustafa Charitable Trust, organized a Grand Employment Activity at Jamia Masjid Mahmood-ul-Haq Siddiqui, Mazar Altaf Nagar, Block D, Gulshan-e-Zia, Orangi Town. The initiative aimed to provide dignified employment opportunities to over 25 unemployed families severely affected by the recent heavy rains in Karachi and struggling with economic hardships.

The chief guests of the ceremony were renowned social activists Sameer Qazi and Shaji Sahib. Addressing the event, Hafiz Muzammil Malik, Chairman of Sirat-e-Mustaqeem Welfare Trust, said that rising inflation and unemployment are increasing the difficulties of the common people. He stated that keeping this global issue in view, Sirat-e-Mustaqeem Welfare Trust has already helped over 200 families achieve self-reliance through various livelihood projects. The aim is to promote **hard work, self-confidence, and sustainable financial stability instead of mere aid and charity — as the famous saying goes, “It is better to teach someone how to fish than to keep feeding them fish.”

Hafiz Muzammil Malik added that the Trust not only serves the people of Karachi through welfare projects but also extends its humanitarian work to other provinces of Pakistan affected by floods. He emphasized that true social progress begins when people are given opportunities to earn through their own efforts rather than relying on donations this not only improves living standards but also helps prevent **crime and other social evils.
He further said that dignified employment not only transforms an individual’s life but also lays the foundation for trust and development within society. Sirat-e-Mustaqeem Welfare Trust will continue to expand such initiatives in the future so that more families can achieve economic independence, as the Trust firmly believes that the most effective way to eradicate poverty is through employment, not aid.

On this occasion, Hafiz Muzammil Malik expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Syed Shahid Ahmed of Al-Mustafa Charitable Trust for his cooperation. He also praised Sohail Ansari, Head of the Employment Project, for completing the fair distribution process efficiently, along with Executive Committee members Hameed-ur-Rehman, Syed Kashif Ali, and others for their hard work and dedication that led to the success of the event.
General Secretary Sikandar Khan also thanked Syed Shahid Ahmed and Senior Vice President Irshad Ansari of Sirat-e-Mustaqeem Welfare Trust.

During the ceremony, participating families were provided with various livelihood resources, including **sewing machines, small business materials, carts and stalls, and technical tools. The attendees appreciated the initiative, calling it an excellent example of social welfare and service to humanity.
