A high-powered meeting comprising women activist organisations was held here to discuss the current situation in the region, with particular emphasis on Gaza. The over-arching concern expressed by all present was the lack of regional stability and peace, the repercussions of which are faced by Pakistan as well.

The organisations present all expressed the fervent hope, and proposed that Pakistan take the right steps to bring about peace in the region.
