KARACHI: Pakistan Educational Development Association (PEDA) 4th All Karachi Speech and MCQs Competition -2023 was held at Sindh Boys Scouts Association here today in the metropolis.
Founder and Chairman PEDA Engineer Imran Ahmed Khan in his welcome address said “it is the need of the hour to promote healthy learning activities among students and to achieve this aim, PEDA is consistently taking various initiatives across all educational institutions in Karachi where contemporary education and learning events and activities takes place from time to time in a well-versed manner.”
PEDA Chairman Imran also added that in future also our organization will continue organizing these kinds of activities across all educational platforms aimed at nurturing a better future for generations ahead.
President KUJ, Faheem Siddiqui while addressing to audience praised the efforts of PEDA Founder Imran Ahmed and said that such kinds of programmes play a vital role in boosting the communication skills of students ultimately resulting into better personality development and creating a pool of future leaders in the country.
Chairman Sindh Board of Technical Education Dr Masroor Ahmed said in his speech that imparting quality education is a huge responsibility in today’s era. Educational institutions should pay high heed in all those areas of education where students interpersonal skills could be raised and developed in an effective manner.
Dy Chief Community Policing Karachi Sohail Japanwala also lauded the initiative undertaken by PEDA for boosting the morale of students in such healthy activities.
In total 370 students of 57 different institutes participated in the competition out of which only 57 students reached to the finals. Speech competition junior category winners: Sheikh Fatima from SMS Aga Khan School stands first, Mateen from KMA bagged second position, Shuraim from SMS Aga khan School attained third position while Ayiza Khan from Beacon Light Academy got fourth position.
Speech competition Senior category winners: Allah Rakhi from Sir Syed College achieved first position, Malaika Qureshi from Eden Grammar School stands second, Tanveer from Aga Khan College bagged third position while Mantasha from Aga Khan college stood at fourth position.
PEDA’s event was largely attended by the personalities from various walks of life including leader of Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Barrister Hallar Wassan, Chairman Sindh Board of Technical Education Karachi, Dr Masroor Ahmed, President Karachi Union of Journalists Faheem Siddiqui, Syed Akhtar Meer Provincial Secretary Sindh Boys Scouts Association, Dy Chief Community Policing Karachi (CPK) Sohail Japanwala, Editor-in-Chief Daily National Courier newspaper Aneel Ahmed Usmani, senior journalist Akbar Hussain, educationist Aleem Qureshi and many others were in attendance.
