KARACHI: The fishing community of Karachi deeply appreciated the active role of Pakistan Navy in the recent incident of firing on poor fishermen and said that Pakistan Navy stood by our side in our problems and with their efforts, we managed to meet the Director General Balochistan Fisheries Department Karachi who not only listened to all our problems but also gave full assurance to solve them on humanitarian basis.
The fishermen community further said that we hope that the top officials of BFD will take strict action against the black sheep under them and keep the promises made in this meeting.
He further said that despite the temporary anger of the fishermen, they wholeheartedly accept the decision to give medical aid to Inspector Abdul Mutalib, who fired on the poor fishermen, and to return to BFD, but they hope that the legal action will be taken against the inspector.
