German Consul General Dr. Ruediger visits Marie Adelaide Leprosy Centre.

German Consulate General Karachi Consul General Dr. Ruediger Lotz visited Marie Adelaide Leprosy Centre – MALC.

Dr. Ruediger wrote, “A memorable visit to Marie Adelaide Leprosy Center – MALC provided me an insight into the legacy of late Dr. Ruth Pfau and the remarkable humanitarian work carried out by her dedicated team. MALC does not only focus on elimination of leprosy in Pakistan but is also committed to control Tuberculosis and prevention of blindness among other tasks.

Walking through the historic “Mariam Manzil” gave me the opportunity to see – besides the hospital facilities – also the beautiful residence of late Dr. Pfau, which has now been transformed into a small museum depicting the life of this notorious lady.”
