The 70th Meeting of Advance Studies & Research Board (ASRB) of Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur was held presided over by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto.
Talking to the participants of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto remarked that we are striving to promote the cultural of research, innovation and development at the campus because developed nations are recognized with the research and new and novel ideas in the comity of the nations. With our constant efforts, the halted and stopped postgraduate programs are being restored as result the research scholars will be benefited.
The Members commended the efforts of Vice Chancellor for the betterment of research and development at the campus. With his eager interest the public defense of Ph. D are being timely presided by the Vice Chancellor. It shows his ownership and upholding of merit and transparency in the award of Ph. D degrees.
After detailed deliberations, the various important decisions were made. The house approved the minutes of the 69th Meeting of ASRB. The research period of the scholars was extended in line with the Higher Education Commission’s policy. The Research Supervisors and Co-Supervisors were appointed. The ASRB recommended to start the 22 M.S, M. Phil and Ph. D Programs in various Disciplines. The ASRB recommended to award Ph. D degrees to Mr. Noor-ul-Hassan Shar, Mr. Wali Muhammad Mangrio, Mr. Azad Ali Khatyan and Mr. Jalil Ahmed Chandio in the fields of Chemistry, Zoology, Economics and Pakistan Studies respectively while the ASRB also recommended to award M.S and M. Phil degrees to 94 Research Scholars in various fields. The ASRB approved the research proposals of 117 scholars of M.S, M. Phil and Ph. D. However, the decisions related to academic, research and others policies were also approved.
