The Five-Day Free Medical Camp for Flood Affected People was arranged at Flood Relief Camp of Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur. Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, Vice Chancellor, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur, Prof. Dr. Taj Muhammad Lashari, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences and Convener Flood Relief Committee and Mr. Rashid Ali Mahesar, District Manager, PPHI, Khairpur jointly inaugurated the Camp.
Speaking on this occasion, Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto said that we are committed to provide basic medical treatment, cover and care to flood victims. He said the flood victims could not afford cost of medicine even fees of Doctors. This is a humanitarian posture to support the humanity in the days of difficulties. Dr. Ibupoto appreciated the volunteerism of students of different societies of University.
Prof. Dr. Taj Muhammad Lashari remarked that the flood victims residing in scattered areas adjacent to University will be benefited in this camp. He appreciated the patronage extended by the Vice Chancellor to establish this medical camp. He also appreciated the endeavor of Flood Relief Committee striving day and night for the relief of flood affected people.
Mr. Rashid Ali Mahesar said PPHI is devoted to provide medicines, Doctors and Paramedic Staff for the service of the flood affected people in the Khairpur District without any discrimination. He commended the efforts of Vice Chancellor for the establishment of this camp at University premises.
Prof. Dr. Minhoon Khan Laghari, Advisor to Vice Chancellor on Academics, Mr. Mureed Hussain Ibupoto, Registrar, Prof. Dr. Masihullah Jatoi, Prof. Dr. Farman Ali Mangi, Dr. Liaquat Ali Chandio, Mr. Feroze Ali Phulpoto, Mr. Rajib Ali Chandio, Mr. Ali Raza Lashari, Members of Flood Relief Committee and others were present.
Meanwhile, Mr. Feroze Ali Phulpoto, General Secretary, Officers Welfare Association and Mr. Qalandar Bux Bozdar, President Employees Welfare Association presented cheques of Rs. 200,000 and Rs. 82,000 respectively in the relief fund.
A large number of teachers, officers, employees and volunteers were present on this occasion.
