KARACHI – Vice Chancellor Dow University of Health Sciences, Prof. Muhammad Saeed Quraishy said that saving the lives of patients without any discrimination and their treatment is the beginning of the oath of a health professional. “Tamgha e Imtiaz” awarded to me by the Government of Pakistan, is the honor of my team at Dow University and Civil Hospital whose selfless services have been recognized by the State. Doctors and Paramedical Staff sacrificing their lives to save their patients, and it has raised the flag honor. It is an identity and glory of a doctor. Medical staff and Public have to deal with this new wave of Omicron with precautionary weapon. He share these views in a ceremony held in his honor after being awarded “Tamgha-e-Imtiaz” by the Government of Pakistan, at Karachi Press Club in collaboration with “Daily Ailaan” and “Weekly Life”. He cutted the 102nd Birthday Cake of Shaheed-e-Pakistan Hakeem Mohammad Said along with Professor Rasheed Jooma and also unveiled the calendar of the year 2022 of Hamdard Foundation. Earlier, Abdul Waheed Rajpar and member of Governing Body Syed Athar Hussain presented traditional Sindhi Ajrak and commemorative shield of KPC to Prof. Rasheed Jooma and Prof. Muhammad Saeed Quraishy on behalf of Karachi Press Club.

They more said that Prof. Muhammad Saeed Quraishy is our national asset and his personality is a role model for the youth, recognition of the services of a medical professional by journalists is a good sign.
Prof. Rasheed Jooma said that the number of medical professional working day and night for the welfare of patients and medical institutes can be counted on fingers. Prof. Saeed Quraishy is one of them. Prof. Tariq Mehmood said that Prof. Muhammad Saeed Quraishy is a good physician, whenever he expresses the speculation about the diagnosis, the machine diagnostic report confirms the same disease and I have observed this hundreds of times in the last 27 years. Prof. Hassan Dost Afridi said that in the tenure of Prof. Muhammad Saeed Quraishy, human body implants from France and USA were provided free of cost to poor patients in a teaching hospital like Civil Hospital Karachi which cost Rs.15 to 20 lacs per patient in private sector. He more said that Pakistan’s first trauma center in the public sector is a major achievement of Prof. Muhammad Saeed Quraishy. Dr. Shafqat Hussain Abbasi said that Prof. Muhammad Saleh Quraishy, former Vice Chancellor of Sindh University and all his children, including Prof. Muhammad Saeed Quraishy, not only continued their father’s mission but also achieved unparalleled achievements in the field of medicine. Abdul Jabbar Khattak said that the way in which the efforts of medical professors are being cashed in by the corporate bodies undermines the sincere efforts made with the poor patients and it should be remedied. Mazhar Abbas said that the medical infrastructure for the city of Karachi having population of 35 million is inadequate.
