DUBAI: India pounded Pakistan by eight wickets in their hotly anticipated Asia Cup coordinate which neglected to satisfy its publicity in Dubai on Wednesday.

Pace lead Bhuvneshwar Kumar (3-15) and low maintenance off-spinner Kedar Jadhav (3-23) sent Pakistan, who won the hurl and batted, falling to only 162 full scale in 43.1 overs at Dubai Stadium.

Captain Rohit Sharma at that point struck three sixes and six limits in his 39-ball 52 while individual opener Shikhar Dhawan hit a six and six fours in his 54-ball 46 as India cavorted home in 29 overs.

Ambati Rayudu and Dinesh Karthik both completed on 31 not out as India claimed some retribution for their lowering 180-run crush against their chief opponents in the last of the Champions Trophy in London a year ago – the latest match between the groups until Wednesday.

Both Pakistan and India had effectively fit the bill for the Super Four phase of the Asia Cup and will meet again in Dubai on Sunday.

Bangladesh and Afghanistan meet in Abu Dhabi in the keep going Group B coordinate on Thursday, having officially met all requirements for the second round after Sri Lanka smashed out.

The main two groups from the Super Fours will play the last in Dubai on September 28.

When Pakistan’s unusual batting disintegrated, Wednesday’s match transformed into a soggy squib for a close limit swarm involving Indian and Pakistani expats living in the United Arab Emirates.

Kumar went through the best request by rejecting openers Imam-ul-Haq (two) and Fakhar Zaman (nothing) inside five overs, previously Babar Azam (47) and Shoaib Malik (43) reconstructed the innings amid their 82-run remain for the third wicket.

Be that as it may, after Azam was expelled in the 22nd over, rocked the bowling alley by left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav, Pakistan lost their last seven wickets for 77 runs.

Azam hit six limits in his 62-ball thump while Malik, dropped on 26 by MS Dhoni off Hardik Pandya, split one six and one four out of a cautious innings which kept going 67 balls.

Captain Sarfraz Ahmed (six) turned into Jadhav’s first wicket, holing out to long-on where substitute defender Maneesh Pandey finished a splendid catch, tossing the ball once again into the field to abstain from running over the rope and finishing the catch.

Be that as it may, it was Malik’s run out which crashed Pakistan, sent back by Asif Ali in the wake of embarking for a speedy single.

Paceman Jasprit Bumrah took 2-23 yet India lost all-rounder Hardik Pandya to damage.

Dumbfounding his fifth, Pandya fell in his finish and was stretchered off with a lower back damage, the degree of which was being surveyed by the India group’s medicinal staff.
