Malaysian Consulate Celebrates National Sports Day 2026 in Karachi
The Malaysian Consulate in Karachi celebrates National Sports Day 2026 with sporting activities at Legends Arena.
The Consulate General of Malaysia in Karachi celebrated National Sports Day 2026 at Legends Arena, bringing together around 80 participants for a day of sporting activities and community engagement.
The participants included consulate staff, their family members and Malaysian students living in Karachi. The event aimed to promote physical fitness, encourage sportsmanship and strengthen friendship among consulate staff and the Malaysian community.
Multiple Sports Activities Organised
The programme featured badminton, table tennis, futsal and cricket competitions. These activities gave participants an opportunity to demonstrate their sporting skills while building teamwork and camaraderie.
The badminton competitions included men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles. Table tennis featured a men’s doubles category.

Meanwhile, two futsal matches were held between Team A and Team C, and Team B and Team D. A cricket match between Team LRS and Team Students also formed part of the celebrations.
Prize-Giving Ceremony Concludes Event
The celebration took place in a lively and friendly atmosphere. It concluded with a prize-giving ceremony for the winners, followed by afternoon refreshments.
The Consulate General of Malaysia expressed appreciation to its staff, all participants and PERWAKILAN Karachi for their cooperation and support in organising the event.
The celebration highlighted the importance of sports in promoting a healthy lifestyle and strengthening community ties. The organisers also reiterated the message: “Sports for All! Stay Active, Stay Healthy!”
