The partnership aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and commercial opportunities by preparing students and young entrepreneurs for Pakistan’s growing export sector.
Focus on Export Readiness
The collaboration falls under Pillar I: The Globalist Scholar of the Global Horizon Initiative. It will provide students, researchers, and aspiring entrepreneurs with practical exposure through industry engagement, internships, applied research, and export-readiness programmes.
Moreover, the initiative seeks to equip participants with the skills needed to compete in international markets while encouraging innovation and business development.
Building on Experiential Learning
A key feature of GIFT University’s educational model is its focus on experiential entrepreneurship. Through its Business on Campus programme, students gain hands-on experience by managing business ventures and working directly with industry partners.
The new partnership will expand this approach by connecting students with Gujranwala’s industrial sector and TDAP’s trade promotion network. As a result, participants will gain greater exposure to export opportunities and global business practices.
Strengthening Pakistan’s Export Ecosystem
TDAP said the Global Horizon Initiative brings together academia, industry, and government to create a stronger export ecosystem. Furthermore, it aims to transform innovative ideas into commercially viable products with international market potential.
The authority added that the collaboration reflects its commitment to developing export-oriented entrepreneurs and strengthening Pakistan’s global trade competitiveness through education, innovation, and industry partnerships.
